Twenty
five years ago, I was blessed with the opportunity to meet Dave McBride. Dave
was joining our team at ALLEN TESTPRODUCTS as a technical instructor.
Dave and I quickly gained mutual respect for each other and became close
friends. He excelled at every task we faced and quickly made it to the top of
his game. We worked tirelessly together developing training courses. We
traveled across this country training technicians from every walk of life, and
from every area of automotive and truck repair. It was truly a pleasure to work
with and develop such a tight friendship with Dave McBride. He had a profound
impact on many lives.
He was one of the brightest automotive minds in the country, and was also a
great mentor. I was honored when he joined me on radio as a full time co-host,
and he brought a great deal of knowledge as well as a very personal and human
touch to our show.
He later joined us on our TV show “Two Guys Garage”, and became an instant hit
with the viewers, the TV crew, and everyone who came in contact with him. Dave
again enjoyed success as he did in every venue he pursued.
A great husband, terrific father, and a genuinely nice guy, Dave was a class act
who enjoyed people, and led a very successful, high quality life. His integrity
was above and beyond.
I will sorely miss my best friend, business partner, as well as my Radio and TV
Co-host.
Not many people had the distinct honor and pleasure of getting to know Dave as
well as I did, and I will forever be a better person for having worked so
closely with him.
I wish him a safe and peaceful journey and will forever cherish the memories of
all the great times we had together. He will be missed and never forgotten.
